Without mentioning your job title, how would you describe what it is you do now?

I am a Chair and Board Member of a range of organisations in the private, public and not for profit sectors. I also consult to the law firm where I was a partner, and support emerging lawyers and non-executive directors as a mentor.

What was your main driver to enter the legal industry?

In 1976 I was told the legal profession was no place for a woman, so I joined.

What are the first three words you think of when you hear the word ‘diversity’?

Fairness, creativity, success.

What do you think it will take to develop truly diverse thinking within the legal industry?

A broader representation of people from different backgrounds, including gender and ethnicity, at all levels of the industry.
