Her story

Jacqui is the General Counsel and Company Secretary at Lactalis Australia.

Without mentioning your job title, how would you describe what it is you do now (whether at home, work, in the community, etc.)?

A trusted advisor and problem solver who enables people to make informed decisions and achieve quality outcomes.

What are the first three words you think of when you hear the word ‘diversity’?

Potential, fairness and respect.

What do you think it will take to develop truly diverse thinking within the legal industry?

Educating the legal industry on the benefits and importance of diversity and then leading by example through inclusive hiring to create diverse teams and supporting the under represented groups in the industry through mentoring to ensure retention rates.

What was your main driver to enter the legal industry?

Ironically LA Law - power suits and flash offices. Now I am happiest in jeans and boots and getting out and about visiting our factories and farmers.
