Bree is Head of Work + Road Claims Queensland at Slater + Gordon.

Without mentioning your job title, how would you describe what it is you do now (whether at home, work, in the community, etc.)?

I oversee and manage a team of high performing solicitors involved in workers' compensation and road claims. I also work with our community to educate and I’m often involved in advocating for those affected to get the right outcome. I'm also a mum to two young girls who have very busy co-curriculars.

What are the first three words you think of when you hear the word ‘diversity’?

Inclusion, Culture, Equality.

What do you think it will take to develop truly diverse thinking within the legal industry?

Collaboration and diveristy in the legal sphere. Thinking and using AI to suppport the community with access to justice when it wouldnt normally be accessible.

What was your main driver to enter the legal industry?

To assist those who are brought into a world of complex legalese and hepling navigate their rights.
