Her story

Jennifer is a Solicitor and Practice Lead at Benefit Legal Lawyers.

Without mentioning your job title, how would you describe what it is you do now (whether at home, work, in the community, etc.)?

I am a solicitor specialising in complex personal injury matters in the ACT and NSW, with a focus to make history paving the way for women, in particular women of color, in the legal field in Australia.

What are the first three words you think of when you hear the word ‘diversity’?

Social, ethnic, backgrounds.

What do you think it will take to develop truly diverse thinking within the legal industry?

It would be nice to see women of different cultural backgrounds in high positions and making a difference in their communities.

What was your main driver to enter the legal industry?

To be a voice for the voiceless and to help many navigate/access a favourable outcome for justice through the legal system.
